While strolling The Strand on Sunday around 2:40 PM, I set my document holders on a bench by The Strand, near the Galveston Railroad Museum, to snap a few harbor photos and then duck into a souvenir shop. The leather is soft and there is a small monogram on the corner. When I came back, a passerby mentioned a shuffle near the bench, but the holders were gone. They held travel papers and a few receipts that feel like part of my life, so losing them has me anxious and a little unsettled.
