I found a cockatiel this afternoon around 3:15pm in the parking lot behind Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff. It's about the size of a paperback and has a striking yellow head with orange cheek patches and a gray body. The feathers look healthy and glossy, and there's a tiny white patch on its left wing. A blue plastic leg band on its right leg bears the numbers AZ-24. It seemed calm and friendly, hopping onto my finger for a moment. I can't imagine this bird has a home to someone missing it—if you think this might be yours, reach out and we can figure out a safe meetup.
