I had set them down on a bench while I grabbed a coffee on Hay Street and got distracted by a street musician; when I turned around they were gone. They are meaningful to me - a small set of breed-name cards my grandmother kept, worn from years of use and taped edges. The Market Square buzzed with families and dogs, and a breeze off the Cape Fear River carried the chatter toward Bragg Boulevard. If you saw them anywhere near Market Square or the riverfront, please keep an eye out; they are irreplaceable to me.
