Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Eugene are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Eugene in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Stolen tote bag with journal lost L

Stolen tote bag with journal

Stolen tote bag, journals, sun gloves, inhaler. Had a tote bag with a vegetable pattern and some embroidered repair work on the handle stolen from my car this weekend. It had a small brown journal with a yellow spine that is deeply personal to me and was stolen from 18th on Harris St. sometime the night of Friday the 19th. There were also some other items in the bag (inhaler, sun gloves) but the journal is by far the highest priority for me. Hope whoever took it can do some reflecting on their choices. This is an older photo (bag is dirtier now)

Lost sports equipment in Eugene area

Last Friday around 6:45 p.m., after wrapping up practice at Alton Baker Park, I realized my bag with sport gear had vanished. Inside was a mix of soccer cleats, a tennis racket, knee pads, and a rolled-up yoga mat—the kind of gear I grab for pickup games and quick workouts. I must have left it near the basketball courts by the pond, just off the trail behind Autzen Stadium. I’m frustrated by the loss because those items were essential for staying active during the term.

Lost microwaves in Eugene, Oregon.

Hello, I’m Jordan Reed. This morning around 9:15 a.m. I realized two microwaves were lost from the back of my delivery van in Eugene, in the Valley River Center parking lot near the East 11th Avenue entrance. They’re not huge, but they’re essential for the kitchen at our community center, and losing them is a real setback. I’m hoping someone might have seen them or picked them up by mistake and kept them safe. If that happened, please know they’re important to a lot of families in town.

Lost brooches near University of Oregon campus

I lost my two brooches this morning around 11:15 AM in Eugene. They’re two small silver-tone pins with a leaf motif, one with a tiny turquoise stone. I had them on a scarf while strolling through the Erb Memorial Union courtyard, then through the Knight Library lobby before the security desk. I retraced my steps past the Memorial Quad and toward the campus bookstore, but they weren’t there. They’re sentimental—a gift from my grandmother—and losing them left me unsettled. I’m holding out hope someone who found them will bring them to the campus desk so they can be reunited with me.

LOST holiday decorations near Autzen Stadium, Eugene.

Last Friday around 7:30 p.m., I was unloading a car after a neighborhood caroling session near Autzen Stadium when my holiday decorations toppled from the tote and vanished. The box held a string of multicolored LED lights, a pine garland, and a red velvet wreath, all wrapped in tissue with my name on it. I searched the sidewalk and parking lot until the rain started, but I never found it. I miss the glow and the way the wreath brightened our living room for family photos. If someone picked it up, I’d be grateful to have it back.

LOST: Organizers near Downtown Eugene

I realized I lost my organizers yesterday afternoon around 4:20 p.m. somewhere near West 10th Ave by the Eugene Public Library. It’s a small blue zip case with calendar tabs for days, weeks, and a few Post‑its with reminders like 'Vet appointment' and 'Gym 6 p.m.' The case lived in my bag until I paused at a cafe, then I must have dropped it while crossing the street toward Skinner Butte. Without them, my week feels scrambled—like a page torn from a calendar. If someone found them, I’d be grateful to have them back so I can get back on track.
