Last Friday at 5:42 PM I realized my passport was lost after a walk around Eldridge Park. I started at Elmira City Hall and headed toward Water Street, the fountain at the park gate catching the last light of day. I retraced my steps through the park and along the Chemung Riverwalk, calling out my name as I looked under benches and in trash cans. With a departure window of just two days for my trip, I’m anxious but hopeful someone found it and kept it safe.
