Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around El Paso are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for El Paso in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost toasters near downtown El Paso

I was helping a friend move on the West Side of El Paso around 7:30 PM yesterday when I realized my two toasters weren't in the box I loaded. We had paused for a quick break near the Chamizal National Memorial, and I must have left them on the kitchen counter back at the rental. They’re small, stainless with chrome knobs, and I use them every morning; losing them feels silly but it’s also a small piece of home I don’t want to forget. I hope they turn up somewhere around downtown El Paso, especially near Chamizal Park.

Lost swimsuits in El Paso area

Last Friday at 3:45 p.m., I realized my swimsuits were missing after a quick dip at the Riverside Pool at Westside Park in El Paso. I retraced the pool deck and the grassy picnic area, but they weren't there. The set includes a blue one-piece and a red bikini tucked in a light mesh bag. I know someone might have picked them up in a rush or mistaken them for theirs, and I’m hoping this post helps someone come forward with them.

Lost pocket watches near Plaza Theatre, El Paso

On Saturday around 2:15 PM I had my grandfather's pocket watches tucked in a brown leather case while I waited outside the Plaza Theatre on San Antonio Ave to grab a quick coffee. I set the case on a bench by the El Paso County Courthouse steps and got distracted by a phone call. When the call ended, the case and the watches were gone. These watches carry a lot of family history, and losing them feels like losing a piece of my grandfather. I have retraced the theater area and along San Antonio Ave, but I haven't had any luck yet.

Lost holiday decorations near San Jacinto Plaza, El Paso.

Saturday around 4:30 p.m., I was bringing in a big box of holiday decorations and must have left it on the back seat of my car by San Jacinto Plaza after a shopping trip. I returned a few minutes later to find the box gone. It contains garlands, a string of multicolored lights, some vintage ornaments, and a Santa centerpiece—things that belonged to my mom and mean a lot to our family traditions. I retraced my steps around the plaza and the surrounding restaurants, but nothing turned up. If you found a cardboard box with shiny red tape near the Plaza Theatre or the little farmers market, please help me recover them. They’re irreplaceable to us.

Lost: Equipment for Various Sports in El Paso

Yesterday afternoon at about 4:15 p.m., I realized my equipment bag disappeared from the bleachers at the El Paso Soccer Complex on Paisano Drive. The bag is a dark blue duffel with a white star logo, and inside is a mix of gear: soccer shin guards, a softball glove, and a basketball. It’s my son's gear, and losing it this week hits hard after back-to-back practices. We can’t easily replace it, and I’m hoping someone nearby handed it in. If you’ve seen the bag or have information, please contact through the site so we can coordinate a meetup.

Sandy brown guinea pig with white chest patch

I lost my sandy brown guinea pig yesterday around 3pm near UTEP, specifically the Sun Bowl area at the intersection of Sun Bowl Dr and Mesa St. He’s a small mammal, about the size of a tennis ball, with a white chest patch and a tiny black dot on his left ear. His name is Mochi and he’s surprisingly friendly but easily scared by loud noises. He wears a light blue fleece harness, and there’s a faint scar on his right hind leg from a tumble last month. This little guy was a birthday gift for my daughter, so it means a lot to me to get him back.
