Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Eastern Shore are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Eastern Shore in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost handheld and console on Ocean City Boardwalk

At about 6:50 PM last Friday, I was walking the Ocean City Boardwalk near 14th Street when my handheld gaming device and a small home console slipped from my bag. Losing them felt jarring, given how I wind down after long days. I retraced my steps along the boardwalk and checked a few nearby shops, but nothing turned up. If you found them, please know they mean a lot to me and I hope they’ll find their way back to me here.

Lost CDs after day at Eastern Shore

Hi, I'm Grace Martin. I lost a set of CDs after leaving the Easton Farmers Market and walking toward the Easton Public Library around 2:15 p.m. today. The case is a white jewel-box with a blue sticker reading Road Trip Mix, and the spine has a chipped corner. I had placed the box in a tote as I chatted with a vendor and must have dropped it on the sidewalk near Main Street. Those songs remind me of long drives to visit family on the other side of the bay, and I'd really appreciate their return.

LOST chargers on the Eastern Shore, MD

I was at the Cambridge Market Square on Main Street in the Eastern Shore around 12:30 p.m. last Thursday when I realized my chargers were missing from my tote. I probably dropped them while juggling a coffee and a tote of groceries near the fountain by the water. They’re a gray USB-C fast charger and a standard iPhone charger with a blue cord, two cables in total. Losing them threw me off—my work relies on keeping devices charged during day trips along the water, from Easton to Salisbury. If you found them near Market Square or along the Cambridge waterfront, please keep them safe for me.

Lost lamps on the Eastern Shore

I LOST my lamps while packing up after a stay on the Eastern Shore. I was cleaning up the living room when two lamps disappeared from the area near the Ocean City boardwalk around 7:30 p.m. Friday. The larger one is a brass floor lamp with a cream shade, the smaller a brass desk lamp with a blue shade; both have a slightly worn finish. These lamps have traveled with me through many apartments and hold memories of my grandmother, so I’m feeling unsettled and hopeful to spot them again.

Lost: Holiday decorations near Ocean City Boardwalk

I lost my holiday decorations on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. On Sunday around 6:20 pm I was walking the Ocean City Boardwalk near the Fisherman’s Wharf and the arcades, when a box with garlands, a wreath, and a string of warm lights slipped from my tote. The decorations hold memories from last year and from family gatherings on the shore. I hope someone picked them up and kept them safe. If you found them, please let me know through the site so we can arrange a pickup at a convenient Boardwalk spot.

Lost sports equipment on the Eastern Shore

On Saturday around 11:30 AM, I realized my sports gear bag was missing from the bench by the basketball courts along the Ocean City Boardwalk. The bag had a bright red basketball, two tennis rackets, and a dusty cricket bat—enough gear to derail a whole weekend of practice. I retraced steps along the boardwalk, asked a few snack-bar staff, and kept hoping someone would hand it in. It’s frustrating and a little anxious because some items were gifts from teammates, and I really want them back so our weekend games can go on.
