Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Eastern Shore in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost travel adapters on Ocean City boardwalk, Eastern Shore

At 8:15 PM last Friday, I realized my travel adapters were missing after a quick snack break near the Ocean City boardwalk's Ferris wheel. I set my bag down on a bench by the lifeguard stand while I checked my hotel keycard and phone charger stash, and they vanished. I walked the length of the boardwalk, spoke to a couple shop clerks, and questioned a beachgoer or two, but the evening crowd kept me from finding them. These adapters are essential for my work trip and I’d be grateful to recover them. If you found a gray zip pouch with four adapters and my initials on it, please report it on the site.

lost Driver's License on Ocean City Boardwalk

I’m a local who was finishing a shift along the Ocean City boardwalk. At 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, I realized my driver’s license wasn’t in my wallet anymore after I stepped away from the souvenir shops near the 5th Street pier. I retraced the boardwalk, checked the sand near the lifeguard stands, and asked a few folks, but I didn’t find it. It’s a crucial ID for work and travel, and I’m anxious about the consequences of not having it. If someone found it and kept it safe, I’d be forever grateful.

Lost brooches near Ocean City Boardwalk.

I was walking along the Ocean City Boardwalk near 15th Street around 2:20 p.m. last Friday when my two favorite brooches slipped from my bag and vanished into the crowd. One is a silver crescent with a tiny blue stone; the other is a gold-toned leaf with delicate detailing—both gifts from my grandmother that I wore on special occasions. They remind me of home and of her, and losing them feels like losing a piece of family. If someone happened to find them, I’d be grateful beyond words.

Bearded dragon in glass terrarium, orange scales

I lost my bearded dragon yesterday around 3pm. He’s about 9 inches from snout to tail, with bright orange scales and a darker stripe along the back, in a 20-gallon Exo Terra terrarium with a brand-new UVB light. There’s a tiny white scar under his chin and blue speckles on his tail. I last saw him near the Bayside Shopping Center on Harbor Road, close to the Eastern Shore Marina. It has sentimental value to me and I really need him back.

Gray North Face hoodie with red logo

I lost my gray North Face hoodie yesterday around 3pm near Easton Bayside Market on Main Street. It's a size M fleece with a bright red North Face logo on the chest, and there's a small coffee stain on the inside label plus a tiny fray at the left cuff. I actually love this jacket—it was a gift from my sister and it feels like a hug when the wind picks up by the waterfront. If anyone found it, I’d really appreciate getting it back; it means a lot to me and I’m hoping to recover it soon.

Red leather coin display case with vintage coins

I lost a small red leather coin display case with a tiny vintage coin collection yesterday around 3pm near the Easton Public Market on Harrison Street. The case is about 4x6 inches with a brass clasp, and the bottom corner is a bit worn; the back bears a faint 'SH' engraving. Inside sits four coins on a white foam insert: two Morgan silver dollars (one has a tiny rim nick at around 2 o'clock) and an old Indian Head cent. There’s also a tiny photo of my late grandfather taped to the inside lid. This collection means a lot to me and I’d be really grateful to get it back.
