Black leather briefcase with brass latch, lost near Mystic Seaport

I lost my black leather briefcase yesterday around 3pm near the Mystic Seaport entrance on Greenmanville Avenue. It's about 15 inches wide, with brass hardware and a small scratch on the lower right corner. Inside there's a red Moleskine notebook and my initials 'PP' stamped on the lining; I also have a tiny photo of my grandmother tucked in the inner pocket. This briefcase was a gift from my dad and has sentimental value, plus it holds important documents I really need for work, so I’d be grateful to be reunited with it.
