What to do when you find someone else's property — your responsibilities and how to return it safely.

FOUND: Equipment for Various Sports near Idaho Falls.

FOUND: I’m Caleb Jensen. This morning I found a bundle labeled Equipment for Various Sports by the Idaho Falls River Walk, tucked behind a bench near the Main Street Bridge around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Inside were a basketball, two tennis rackets in a bag, a ski helmet, and a couple of yoga mats with a strap. It looked like someone paused to grab a quick break and left their gear behind. I left the bag in a visible spot on the bench so the owner could recognize it, hoping it will be reunited soon with the person who owns it.

Found adapters in East Idaho parking lot

I found a bundle of adapters yesterday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. in the pedestrian plaza near the Idaho Falls City Hall fountain. They were tucked inside a small black pouch, mixed USB-C and HDMI cables that clearly looked used by someone who tinkers with gadgets. I picked them up because I figured someone might be frantically searching for them, and it would feel right to help out a neighbor in East Idaho. Found Organizers near Snake River Greenbelt, Idaho Falls

I found Organizers on the Snake River Greenbelt in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States around 9:15 am today. They were left on a bench near the river path in a small red zip bag containing several cable organizers and a couple of clip-on lanyards labeled 'EventX'. Found belts near East Idaho Falls Library

I was walking along the river trail behind the East Idaho Falls Library this morning around 9:05 AM when I spotted a small pile of belts next to a bench by the path. There were a few different belts—brown leather with a brass buckle, and a black fabric belt with a faded logo. I held onto them for a bit, hoping someone might be looking for them, and decided to bring them here where others post found items. I dropped them off at the town lost-and-found today so the owner can reclaim them.
