Blue paperback mystery with red bookmark and note

I lost my blue paperback mystery novel yesterday around 3pm near the Carnegie-Stout Public Library on West 11th Street in Dubuque. It's a softcover, about 320 pages, with a few creases on the corners and a bright red bookmark peeking out from page 176. Inside the front cover there's a tiny handwritten note in blue ink reading 'For Mom's Birthday'—a sentimental detail that helps me identify it. This book was a gift from my mom and it means a lot to me; I used to bring it to our book club meetings, and it's the one I always keep by my bed.
