I lost my silver studs at Detroit Metropolitan Airport, McNamara Terminal, around 9:15 AM on Tuesday, as I rushed to catch a flight. They slipped off my ears when I turned a corner near Gate A6 and disappeared into the bustle. They’re small silver studs with pale blue stones; they were a gift from my grandmother, and their absence feels like a hollow in my day. I retraced steps past the newsstand and souvenir shop, but the crowd swallowed any clues. It’s hard not to worry they’ll stay lost until someone else finds them.
