Today around 2:15 p.m., I found two carry-on suitcases behind a bench near the Old State Capitol Square in downtown Decatur. They’re both black, one with a blue ribbon tied around the handle and the other with a white sticker still on the zipper. They looked recently abandoned but left in a hurry, so I brought them closer to the library entrance and posted here in case the owner passes by. It’s a strange feeling to hold someone’s belongings and wonder about their trip, and I hope to help reunite them with their rightful owner soon.
