I grabbed a quick coffee at 1:20 p.m. on Monday outside the Illini Union on Main Street when I noticed my carry-ons weren't in my sight. I hurried back along Green Street toward the campus end and asked at a few shops, but no luck. The bags are a charcoal rolling suitcase and a small black backpack, packed with travel documents and a scarf I bought on a trip last fall. I’m anxious about losing these everyday essentials and hopeful someone turned them in at the Illini Union desk or nearby.
