On Tuesday around 4:20 PM, I was walking along the Chippewa River Trail near Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, when my aviants slipped from their carrier and took off. The two small birds fluttered toward the campus edge and disappeared into the trees near Bovee Hall. I clutched my backpack, shouted their names, and hustled across the path and into the student lot, but they're gone. I’m sick with worry; those birds are pets, not just property. I’m hoping someone found them and kept them safe until I can reclaim them. If you saw something, please let the site know.

Lost dog: brown-fawn mixed-breed with red collar

I lost my brown-fawn, 40-pound mixed-breed dog, Scout, yesterday around 3pm near the Meijer on Mission Street in Mount Pleasant, Central Michigan. He's wearing a bright red collar with a silver bone-shaped tag. Scout has a small white patch on his chest, a slight limp in his right hind leg, and a crooked left ear that makes him look extra goofy. I’m desperate to find my orange tabby cat, Milo. I last saw him yesterday around 3pm near the CMU campus, specifically along University Avenue by Warriner Hall, and he bolted into a neighbor’s yard. He’s an adult tabby, about 12 pounds, with a bright orange coat and a white bib, and he wears a blue collar with a tiny silver bell.
