Lost: sheet music in Cape Cod / Islands

I'm Grace Lin. Last Friday at 11:30 a.m., after a quick practice at the Hyannis Public Library on Main Street, I left a stack of sheet music on a chair in the reading room and walked away. It includes a small set for a summer recital on the Cape Cod Islands, with a mix of originals and classics, all worn from years of use. I feel unsettled not knowing where it is, especially after a morning of rehearsals and a coffee at the corner cafe. If you’ve seen it, please let the site know so I can reclaim it and keep playing.

LOST: Holiday Decorations on the Cape

LOST: On Saturday around 6:30 pm, I left a box of holiday decorations on the front porch of my friend's cottage on Shore Road in Chatham, Cape Cod. The box contained garlands, a string of multicolored lights, and a hand-painted wooden star that belonged to my grandmother. They meant a lot to us and are part of our family tradition. I wandered to the Chatham Lighthouse to watch the sunset and when I returned, the box was gone. The ornaments keep our home warm during the holidays, and I hope someone who found them kept them safe until a return is possible.

LOST: Postcards from my Cape Cod trip

LOST: I was wandering along Commercial Street in Provincetown at around 5:15 pm last Friday when I realized my tote with a small bundle of postcards had vanished. The cards feature Cape Cod lighthouse photos and a note I wrote to my grandmother on the back, and they were the most meaningful souvenir from this trip. I’d left them on a wooden bench near the Pilgrim Monument while I ducked into a tiny shop to grab a pastry, and by the time I came back they were gone. They carry a memory of home and of laughter with friends, and I’m hoping someone picked them up and kept them safe by the harbor.

Lost: Equipment for Various Sports on Cape Cod

Last night, around 6:15 p.m., I realized my Equipment for Various Sports was missing from the trunk after I parked near Coast Guard Beach, Eastham, on Cape Cod. It’s a gray duffel bag stuffed with a few tennis rackets, a yoga mat, and a handful of smaller items I use for weekend games. I retraced my steps along the boardwalk and checked the parking lot multiple times, but it’s gone. These aren’t priceless—just practical gear I rely on—but losing them feels like losing a chunk of my summer plans. If anyone saw them or picked them up, I’d really appreciate a heads-up here on the site.

lost GPS devices on Cape Cod

I was walking along the Hyannis Harbor seawall on Sunday at about 3:30 p.m., and my GPS devices were lost from my bag. They’re two handheld units in a gray case; one has a red lanyard, the other a cracked screen protector. Those gadgets help me map out tides and safe routes for weekend kayak trips along Cape Cod, and losing them left me unsettled about the next voyage. If found, they were last seen on the pavement near the ferry dock.

Microwaves missing from Cape Cod cottage

I lost my microwaves on Saturday at 7:42 pm after a sunset walk along MacMillan Pier in Provincetown. They were missing from the kitchen of our weekend rental, the cupboards where I always keep them now bare. I feel a mix of frustration and worry, since one unit is essential for late dinners after long bike rides along the shore. I'm hoping whoever took them left them somewhere safe, and that they'll find their way back to the cottage.
