I fear I left it inside a bag or on a chair somewhere, and I’m anxious about travel plans and visas resting on its pages. It would mean a lot to me to be reunited with it, and I’m hopeful the person who found it will see this and know it belongs to me.

The items include a red velvet wreath with a gold bow, a string of warm white lights, and a bundle of handmade paper snowflakes. I retraced my steps along Court Street and the parking area by the Chenango Street bridge, checking car doors and the ground, but nothing turned up. I'm bummed and a little anxious—these decorations were sentimental keepsakes from holidays past and I hoped someone picked them up to help me salvage the season.
