Lost black reading glasses with slightly scratched lens left on a study table in the campus library.
I was in the campus library on Friday afternoon and realized I left my reading glasses behind on one of the study tables. They are black and have a slightly scratched lens. I’ve retraced my steps but couldn’t find them, so I’m hoping someone might have turned them in. They mean a lot to me as I just got them last month. If found, please let me know. I'm around Raleigh / Durham area frequently.
Red leather stamp album with brass clasp
I lost my red leather stamp album this afternoon around 2:15pm near the Durham Amtrak Station on West Main Street. It’s a small 6x4 inch album with a brass snap and worn edges from decades of use. Inside the first page there’s a tiny pressed daisy and the inside cover is stamped with 'CHS 192'. The album holds about a dozen stamps from the 1910s-1930s, some with misprints, attached to glassine sleeves. It means a lot to me; it was a gift from my grandfather. If anyone found it, please message me — I’d be endlessly grateful to get it back.
Found terrariums on UNC campus bench
I was walking away from the Ackland Art Museum on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday when I spotted two terrariums resting on a bench by the entrance. They looked lovingly cared for, with moss, tiny plants, and decorative rocks visible through clear glass, as if someone had made a tiny greenhouse in a jar. I left them in place for a moment to be sure they weren’t knocked over, then kept an eye on the bench as I continued my walk. They seem well-loved and likely have a story behind them.
