I was sweeping the back alley behind Heritage Café on West Main Street at 4:18 p.m. last Friday when I spotted a bundle of paintings tucked behind a loading dock. The stack includes several landscapes and a couple of portraits, all in weathered frames with bright edges. They look well loved and are clearly not mine, but there’s no tag I can read.
