I was strolling along Las Olas Boulevard near Fort Lauderdale Beach around 8:40 p.m. on Friday when my two parrots slipped from my shoulder and disappeared into the palm trees. They’re bright green with yellow cheeks, one with a blue-tinted tail, and they’ve been part of our family for years. I’ve carefully tracked their usual perch spots along the beachfront and near Birch State Park, and I’m trying not to panic while the city stays lively. If anyone spots them, please keep an eye out for two colorful birds among the crowd and on the promenade.
