I was cleaning up after the neighborhood tree-lighting at 6:15 PM on Friday, December 1, when I found a bundle of holiday decorations behind a bench near the Eldridge Park entrance in Elmira-Corning, New York. The tangled lights, a garland, and a small wreath looked used but loved, like they were waiting to sparkle again. It smelled faintly of rain and pine, and I could tell they belonged to someone who loves making the season bright. Hi, I’m Alex Rivera. I FOUND a student ID today around 3:20 p.m. on the sidewalk just outside the Elmira College library. It was lying near the campus entrance, by a row of benches facing the quad. I found a red nylon dog harness this morning around 7:45 in the Walmart parking lot behind Main Street in Elmira-Corning. It's a medium size, with black buckles and a bright reflective stripe along the chest strap. It's a generic nylon harness with no visible brand tag. There's a small green paw-print tag attached to the D-ring that reads 'Rex' in faded letters, and one metal D-ring has a dent from wear. It looks used but still in decent condition overall.
