Lost family brooches in Altoona-Johnstown area
I'm Grace Bennett. I lost my grandmother's two brooches on Saturday around 2:30 PM near the Amtrak station in downtown Altoona. One is a small sapphire in a gold setting, the other a tiny pearl on a leaf-shaped pin. They sat in a well-worn blue velvet pouch that I keep on my dresser, and I realized they were missing after I got home and started sorting through coats. Losing them feels like a piece of family history slipping away, and I keep replaying the moment I left the jewelry box on the kitchen table. If found, they would mean the world to me and my family.
Gold-tone marcasite earrings, lost near CVS Altoona
I lost my gold-tone earrings with a delicate marcasite inlay yesterday around 3pm near the CVS on 6th Avenue in Altoona. They’re small, about 1 cm across, with butterfly backs and a subtle sparkle from the inlay. They were a gift from my grandmother, so they mean a lot to me and I really want to get them back. One earring has a tiny flower engraving on the back, and the other has a faint star engraving near the post.
Silver bracelet with heart charm found at Logan Valley Mall
I found a silver bracelet this afternoon around 2:45pm in the Logan Valley Mall parking lot, near the main entrance by the food court. It’s a slim, 7-inch silver-tone chain with a tiny heart charm and a bold blue enamel stripe along one edge. The inside is stamped with the initials J.S. and there’s a little wear from being worn a lot. It’s in decent condition overall and looked valuable enough to spark my curiosity, so I’m putting it up here in case someone’s missing it. If you think it might be yours, drop a note here with the initials and the approximate time you last saw it.
Found a delicate gold pendant necklace with a small heart-shaped charm in downtown Altoona-Johnstown.
I found a delicate gold pendant necklace while walking in downtown Altoona-Johnstown on Saturday afternoon. It has a small heart-shaped charm and appears to be of good quality. I can't see any markings on it, but it's definitely a beautiful piece. If you think it might be yours, please provide a description so I can return it!
