I found this bag on Sunday around 2:30 PM near Jordan Valley Park, just outside the Hammons Field entrance. It's labeled Equipment for Various Sports and bulging with a basketball, a soccer ball, knee pads, and a few tees. There’s also an old umbrella with a faded Team Missouri sticker tucked in the side pocket. I didn’t see any ID, just a color-cracked tag inside the zipper that might belong to a kid. I picked it up to keep it safe and left it by the park gate where people come in for the rec center. I hope the owner recognizes it quickly.

Found: Holiday decorations in Springfield

I was walking my dog at 7:15 p.m. on a Friday, near the fountain at Jordan Valley Park in Springfield, when I spotted a tote stuffed with holiday decorations. Inside were warm white lights, several red bows, a roll of garland, and a small wooden reindeer ornament. The tote looked a bit weathered, like it had been left out after a neighborhood display. I brought it to the park office, hoping the owner would recognize the items and reclaim them. Blue reflective dog harness and leash

I found a blue reflective dog harness with a matching neon-orange leash this afternoon around 2pm near the Springfield Public Library on Oak Street. The harness is size small, bright blue with reflective stripes and a quick-release buckle that still feels solid. There’s a tiny paw-print embroidery on the chest strap and a small scratch on the metal ring where the leash attaches; the leash itself is black with a padded neoprene handle and a short extra seam. Calico cat with red collar found near library

Found a calico cat this afternoon around 3:15pm near the Springfield Public Library on Main Street. She is medium sized, white with orange and black patches, and she wears a bright red collar with a tiny silver bell. I checked for a microchip at VetCare nearby, but no chip showed up.
