Last night at around 8:15 p.m., I opened the back gate of my apartment near The Alamo, and the two kittens slipped out into the warm evening. They’re siblings—one gray tabby with white paws, the other cream-colored with tiny blue collars. I’ve been wandering the River Walk and around Alamo Plaza calling their names, leaving a small dish of tuna on the curb, but the city feels huge and unpredictable, and I’m afraid one will dart into a shopfront or traffic. I’m hoping someone nearby saw them and kept them safe until I find them.
