Found wrist watches near Courthouse Square, Modesto
On Monday afternoon around 2:40 p.m., I was strolling through Modesto's Courthouse Square when I spotted a small pile of wrist watches under a bench near the fountain. There are three of them: two silver metal bands and one brown leather strap, all with little scratches and initials etched on the backs. I picked them up and checked for a name or numbers, but nothing obvious stood out. I brought them to the downtown lost-and-found at the Modesto Library, hoping the rightful owners would recognize them and come forward. The watches felt like a small anchor of memory in a busy day, and I’d be relieved to see them go home.
