They are ordinary-looking shopping bags, but they held groceries and a blue tote that means a lot to me. I’ve checked a few nearby benches and trash cans, praying someone honest picked them up. I found myself on Miami Beach this morning around 11:05 a.m. when I realized my Equipment for Various Sports had disappeared from my blue duffel bag on a bench near South Pointe Park. The bag held a basketball, shin guards, a couple of tennis balls, and a reusable water bottle; it's bright neon and easy to spot, but someone must have picked it up. I use this gear every week for pick-up games and weekend practices along Ocean Drive, so losing it is inconvenient and frustrating.
