Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Lawton are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Lawton in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost Avians in Lawton, two birds

I was driving back from a friend's apartment by Fort Sill Boulevard and stopped to stretch by the Lawton Public Library around 8:15 PM on Friday when I realized my aviants were gone from their cage. I keep a green parakeet with a bright yellow head and a blue-gray cockatiel, both friendly and nosy birds who answer to their names, and I’m terrified they might be scared out there. They last perched on a glass perch by the kitchen window, so please keep an eye out around the SW 4th Street area in Lawton.

Lost hoops after sunset near Lawton downtown plaza

I lost my hoops last Friday at 6:15 pm after a quick pickup game near Fort Sill's Old Post Recreation area, here in Lawton, Oklahoma. They're a pair of medium-sized silver hoop earrings, one with a tiny dent along the rim and a faint scratch on the other. I wore them for luck and can picture exactly where I dropped them—on a bench by the Lawton Public Library courtyard as the sun sank behind the courthouse. My heart dropped, and I retraced my steps along the downtown circle, hoping someone picked them up. If you found them, I’d be grateful to know they’re safe and bring a little normal back to my week.

Lost handheld and console in Lawton

I was waiting for the bus near Fort Sill Boulevard and 3rd Street when I realized my handheld game device and my small console were missing from my backpack. It was 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, and the sun had just dipped behind the Lawton skyline. I retraced to the Lawton Transit Center, checked the benches by the shelter, and asked at the cafe counter, but nothing turned up. Those two devices are my main way to unwind after long shifts, and losing them is stressing me out. I hope someone found them and kept them safe until I can get back to them.

Lost photographs from Lawton visit

I lost my photographs after visiting the Lawton Public Library around 3:40 p.m. Sunday. These are a small bundle in a worn leather wallet, with pictures of downtown Lawton and the river. These images are priceless to me; they document my grandmother's trips from the 1960s. If found, I would be grateful to have them back.

Lost pants near Fort Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma.

I'm Alex Carter. I was at the Lawton Public Library today around 3:15 PM after grabbing coffee at Bluffs Café, and I realized my favorite grey pants were missing from my bag. I remember sitting on a bench by the fountain near the mural on Lawton Main Street, then walking toward the courthouse and noticing the zipper was half open. I'm hoping someone picked them up and tucked them away somewhere safe. They're comfortable, well-worn, and mean a lot to me, especially since they go with my only belt. Please, if you saw them, know I'm really hoping they turn up.

Lost rabbits near Elmer Thomas Park, Lawton

I was walking back from Elmer Thomas Park around 8:15 p.m. Friday when my two rabbits slipped from their carrier and vanished near the duck pond. I called their names and searched the bushes, but the park lights were dim and the shadows stretched long. They're small and quick, one white with a black ear and the other brown with a tiny orange spot on its back, and my heart aches thinking of them out there in the cold. If you happened to see two little rabbits hopping along the path by the pond, I’d be grateful for any clue that could bring them home.
