Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Jacksonville are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Jacksonville in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost adapters in Jacksonville

I lost a small set of adapters around 6:05 p.m. yesterday near the Riverwalk in downtown Jacksonville, by the Main Street Bridge. They were in a thin gray pouch, tangled with a charging cable and a notebook from a coffee shop I visited earlier. I’ve been scrambling since, trying to keep my devices powered while on the road. If you see this, I hope it reaches you and you understand how important these adapters are to my trip.

Lost sports gear near Riverwalk

I am missing my equipment for various sports. Around 7:15 PM Friday, I must have left my bag somewhere along the Jacksonville Riverwalk near Friendship Fountain. The bag is a black duffel with a red stripe, and inside are a basketball, a pair of cleats, and a tennis racket with a worn grip. Those items are essential to my weekend routine, and my heart sinks thinking they are out there somewhere. If someone picked them up, I’d be incredibly grateful to have them back, and I’m hoping for a safe return so I can get back to practice.

Lost sheet music from Jacksonville rehearsal.

I discovered around 5:15 p.m. today that my sheet music was lost from my folder after a quick rehearsal outside the Times-Union Center on Water Street in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. The two pages are from my grandmother's collection and the edges are worn with a faded inscription in the corner. I was warming up my fingers on the curb before driving home, and the folder must have slipped from sight. They mean a lot to me, and I’d be grateful for any sign of them.

Lost radios near the Riverwalk, Jacksonville

At 6:10 p.m. last Tuesday I realized my two portable radios were missing from a small black bag after I left a bench near the Riverwalk and MOSH area in Jacksonville. The radios were gifts from my late father; we used them on camping trips along the St. Johns River. I was chatting with a friend and admired the river breeze when I sat them down by the bench and forgot to pick them up. Losing them isn’t just about the devices; they carry memories of weekend trips and family jokes. If you found them near the Riverwalk, MOSH, or by the Main Street Bridge, please keep them safe until I can retrieve them.

Lost Student ID in downtown Jacksonville

On Wednesday at 3:28 PM, I realized my Student ID was missing after class in downtown Jacksonville. I probably dropped it near the Main Library on Adams Street, maybe by the riverfront bus stop. I retraced my steps along Market Street and the campus shuttle route, checking a café and a bench, but nothing turned up. The card has my photo and student number, which makes me anxious about access to labs and gyms. I feel a bit exposed without it, especially during busy afternoons. If found, I hope the finder sees this listing and returns it.

Red Le Creuset 4.5qt Dutch oven, lost

I lost my red Le Creuset 4.5-quart Dutch oven yesterday around 4pm near Riverside Coffee on King Street in the Five Points area of Jacksonville. It's a bright enamel red pot with a brass knob and a white enamel interior. There’s a small chip on the inner rim near the handle and a tiny nick on the lid edge; there’s a faint coffee stain on the bottom from a recent sauce batch. It was a gift from my grandmother, so it has sentimental value and I really need it back. If you found it, drop me a message through the app so I can confirm details and arrange recovery.
