Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Bemidji are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Bemidji in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost travel adapters in Bemidji

I lost my travel adapters this afternoon around 4:15 PM near the Paul Bunyan statue in downtown Bemidji. They are a compact black universal adapter with a red zip pouch that says Travel. I must have left them in a cafe along Beltrami Avenue or near the statue during a walk after class. They are crucial for my trip, and I would be grateful for any help locating them. If you found them, please reach out through the site and we can arrange a pickup near the statue.

Lost: Swimsuits in Bemidji

I was at Lake Bemidji's Diamond Point Beach around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday when I realized my bright blue swimsuit had vanished from a chair near the lifeguard stand. It’s a one-piece with white piping and a small silver charm near the strap—my favorite after a long day of traveling. I retraced my steps along the boardwalk and the pavilion, but it didn’t turn up. It feels silly to admit, but losing it took the wind out of my sails; I’d be grateful to be reunited with it.

Lost leashes near Bemidji

I lost my leashes yesterday afternoon in Bemidji, around 4:15 p.m., near the Headwaters Science Center. I had just stepped off Beltrami Park property when a sudden gust whipped the leashes from my hands and they slipped toward the lake, and I didn't notice until I got back to my car. They're black nylon with a red reflective strip, and one has a small metal tag engraved with 'Riley'. I'm anxious because our daily walks are what keep our routine calm, and I just want them back so our dogs can keep comfy at night.

Lost kittens near Bemidji Diamond Point Park.

At 4:10 pm today I lost my two kittens while walking through Diamond Point Park by the Paul Bunyan statue. They are small, gray with white paws, and their curious squeaks echo in my memory, and I am terrified they are out there alone in the chilly Minnesota air. I have walked the park several times and called their names, but they have not returned. If you have seen them or their fur anywhere, please help me bring them home.

Lost holiday decorations near Paul Bunyan statue, Bemidji

Last Friday night around 7:15 p.m., I was downtown Bemidji, near the Paul Bunyan statue by the Lake Bemidji waterfront, when a gust knocked a tote from my cart and scattered my holiday decorations across the sidewalk. A few garlands tangled in the snow, and several ornaments rolled under a bench by the library steps. I did not realize they were missing until after I left, and I am worried they will be ruined in the cold unless they are found soon. These decorations carry memories from last year’s tree at my sister’s house, and I am really hoping they are somewhere safe and recoverable.

Lost suits after Sanford Center, Bemidji

I lost my two suits last Friday around 7:20 PM, after finishing a rehearsal at Bemidji's Sanford Center. They disappeared from my car parked in the Diamond Point Park area, near the Paul Bunyan statue. One suit is charcoal, the other navy, both on wooden hangers inside a black garment bag. These suits matter for a job interview I have Monday, and I’m scrambling to replace them. If you saw them in that parking lot or nearby, please help me get them back. They carry more than fabric—they’re my chance to present my best self.
